sisley

My name is Cecilia, and I'm a 15-year-old student from Hong Kong. Welcome to my private personal blog. The things I write mostly revolve around myself, but I hope they're insightful and interesting enough to you. I write about very personal things about myself on this blog, and I hope that you'll know more about me after reading my posts.

sisley

I'm the main theme of this blog. I'm rather self-centered and narcissistic, in fact. My blog is like a world that I've created for myself, and here, everything revolves around me and my concerns. I can't say that I'm special person, but to myself, I am. I have my trivial information written on the "about me" page on this blog, so I'd appreciate it if you'd bother to read it.

If I were to describe myself simply, I would say that I'm a very passionate and hopeful person. If I have to commit to something, I make sure it's something I'm passionate about. I'm also filled with a lot of hope and anticipation, since I love knowing what to look forward to. I love to enjoy life, so I find for myself things that I'd love to do, and they always keep me motivated no matter what. I'm grateful for the beautiful things I see everyday, and knowing that I'll find wonderful more things makes me live with excitement. I pretty much live on anticipation and hope.

Interest wise, I love things related to computer and tech, such as making videos and apps, or just media consumption in general. I also love exploring different places, even in areas I'm not familiar with, as long as I have Google maps. I love reading and learning about skincare and makeup, even though I don't really practise the latter.

If you'd like to read more about me, I have a 50 facts about me post here on my blog, please go check it out:)

planetliffy

I've been asked by people what my blog title means. In fact, there's an actual story behind it.

In such a big world, living with lots of other people, I've always felt unsettled and anxious, often having to refrain from saying certain things that might cause trouble. The idea of the word "planet" in the title represents the isolated, perfectly safe area that I've created here. This blog is a place of total freedom for me, in order to express myself and pay as much attention to myself as I want to.

The second part of the title, "liffy", came from the word "cauliflower". It was originally a random name I came up with for a friend of mine, and I ended up using it since I thought it sounded extremely adorable. She was also one of the few people whom I could tell my deep crap to, so the blog title also serves as an honour to her existence. "Liffy" doesn't mean that much, but it reminds me of the earliest days I spent on this blog, and it makes me feel very grateful everytime I think about it.

the birth of this blog

I created my first blog on Blogger when I was in primary 3, at around 9 years old. I never took blogging seriously, and I forgot about my blogs shortly after creating them. I had created quite a few blogs, but I quickly got tired of them and abandoned them after a week or so. I didn't really have anything to write, so I forgot about blogging soon after.

It wasn't until my form 1 year when I started blogging consistently.  I started this blog for an English assignment, originally without the intention of keeping it afterwards. However, I found a great amount of joy in documenting my feelings that way, so I continued writing blog posts, all the way until now. I used to blog almost every day back then. Although I've become busier, and I no longer blog as often, I still take time to talk about things in my life whenever I'm not occupied. I never thought that my blog would grow so much, but I'm glad how I've built a profile, or a perfecr representation of who I am as a person.

design

My blog has changed so much, especially in terms of design. Back in the days, I was satisfied with Blogger's templates. In fact, when planetliffy was started, it used Blogger's pink watermark template. Back then, I wasn't really into coding or even using the advanced customization tools of Blogger, but as I fell into the world of coding later, I started to change up the design drastically.

My favourite deisgn point of this blog would be my cursor. I managed to find the CSS code for a rose cursor on a website. I'm not advanced enough to actually write codes myself, but frankly speaking I don't mind that much as long as my blog nicely represents my character. Also, the background of the header of this blog (as of 9 January, 2016) is a gif of me eating Melonpan. I made that gif myself by doing some beginner CSS coding. It gives my blog a unique look, and it represents my love for food very accurately. It's almost like a welcome message to myself or to guests -- you can always see me eating nonstop.

My blog design changes very frequently, since I always feel the urge to try something new. However, no matter how I modify it, it's always a perfectly accurate representation of myself. It also documents my change and growth. The designs are very close to my heart, and it's a channel for me to express myself.

other places you can find me at

Besides blogger, I'm also on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, Wix, Tumblr, Snapchat and Ameblo. You can find a complete list of my accounts/blogs on the "find me" page of this blog. I love interacting with people on social media, so feel free to make my accounts less boring by leaving me a comment or tweeting to me!

I'll briefly introduce the two other blogs I have here. I have a public blog on Wix, on which I document trivial life events. It's where I talk about exciting stuff in my life, and I tend to filter my content there so that I only write about shallow stuff, so if that's what you want, please go check it out. I also have a 48-fandom dedicated fanblog on Tumblr. It probably doesn't sound appealing at all, but I spent a lot of time making the design sisley-style, so if you're bored then please go take a look.

last message

Thank you again for visiting my blog! I'm grateful for the interest you've had in my cringe-worthy life (that's why you came to stalk me right:D). I'm not always excited and motivated to do things, but I hope that I'm able to channel my excitement and anticipation to all of you. I'm always working hard to discover new, exciting things in life, and I sincerely hope you also find things to make yourselves happy.

This blog really helps me sort out emotions and feelings whenever I encounter problems. I'm sorry for bringing so much negativity to the world, but I'm still working towards a stronger mentality. I feel like I've slowly found myself through the reflections I've made here. I've also been able to express a lot about myself, almost as much as I want. I'm very glad that I decided to start blogging back then.
