You probably have noticed already, but I have an obsession over Japanese music, specifically AKB48/48G songs. Yes, I am officially a fan of AKB48, my favourite song is Sakura no ki ni narou, and my oshimens are Minegishi Minami, Kashiwagi Yuki and Oya Shizuka. Yes. Shiichan.

I used to hate Japanese music, but now I love it so much that I won't even listen to other music. I hated the entire Japanese culture to begin with, so it was a miracle how I began to accept it. It all started with Michelle Phan making a video about the manga series NANA, which tempted me to watch it. After getting obsessed over it, I listened to the soundtracks. Later on, I found the system of AKB48 interesting, so I went on wikipedia and checked them out. In the controversies section had descriptions of the controversal Heavy Rotation video. So I watched it out of curiosity, and that's how I got addicted to their music.

Originally, I thought the hype would end after a while, but I spotted Itano Tomomi in the video and was determined to find out who she was. When I asked my friend who was an AKB48 expert, she told me and instructed me to go watch their show, AKBingo. It was interesting and it often played some of the songs. I found a few interesting ones and checked them out. That's how it all happened.

Now, I can say that this whole thing is a big miracle. The influence of Japanese music to me is that, no matter how sad a situation is, it is put with a merry melody and positive lyrics, so I've had a lot of happy moments listening to them.

No mater how much you hate Japanese music and think that it's silly, I believe that there are miracles in the songs. I have felt the power of this miracle myself.
