haters gonna hate, but
If I were to have a strong dislike for a certain group of people, it would be those who preach the "haters gonna hate" theory. I really cannot respect such people. I mean, obviously haters are going to hate, but that's not how you deal with that. Of course no one can make everyone stop hating, and dealing with it is technically impossible, but you don't just go "haters gonna hate" and see them as nasty little creatures that have mental problems.
Neither is dissing a good solution. Apparently there are people, including some of the top stars, who disses their haters in ways that they believe are intelligent. Things like, "I don't need negative people" and stuff do not help. After all, haters are people, so are the people who receive hate. I don't think that anyone can proudly announce that he/she doesn't hate anyone without lying.
It doesn't matter if it's your fault or not, but haters do hate for a reason. If it's something pathetic that has to do with how you look or simply for no reason, that just acknowledge that people have very different opinions. If it's something like your personality, then think about it, if it's because you're mean or because you're not his/her cup of tea. Opinions do matter, every single one does. However absurd it seems, I'm sure it's not pathetic to the hater. People have reasons for hating, no matter what it is. Accept the fact that people have different views of things.
Don't blame yourself either. I sounded like it wasn't the haters' faults for hating, but don't you dare blame yourself either. It's not that I'm not worried about being hated on, but I really don't want to become the kind of person who stands up against her own haters. Everyone deserves to have an opinion. If you do hate me, yes I'll be upset to a certain degree (even if I don't like you). Even though being hated on is a hurtful feeling, I really won't blame anyone, because I'm sure there are many things in me that trigger such hatred, because there are certain things about me that people do not like. And the thing is, everyone has opinions like myself.
I kind of made myself sound like I didn't care about haters, but no. Pretty often, I feel like crying because of them, most probably because I care too much about everything. I strive towards an impossible goal -- to be someone nice to everyone. At least, I tell myself that I have to do everything in my power to become like that. And really, hatred is a hurtful thing, so I don't really see the need to hate. Often, I do think about things like, "oh I hate her" and stuff, but when I think about the fact that everyone has different values of things, I convince myself that the person just looks terrible to me because she and I have different viewpoints.
Haters gonna hate, but they're humans too.
